Melrose Figueroa

Melrose Figueroa is a communications specialist with nearly 15 years of experience in leadership and advocacy, dedicated to using communication to connect people, ideas, and policies for meaningful change.

As the Founder of the Congress of Kingdom Advocates for Freedom (CKAF), Melrose leads initiatives to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to engage in public policy. She oversees research projects, advocacy training, and civic education programs aimed at helping leaders, families, and communities navigate government and public affairs.

Her career in marketing and public relations spans over a decade. She previously served as President of a marketing agency, where she supported leaders in business, politics, law, healthcare, and the arts in delivering clear and impactful messages. Under her leadership, her firm played a key role in securing a $125,000 investment deal on Shark Tank and successfully lobbied for fair access to government contracts for businesses.

Melrose’s leadership also extends to her role as Board Chair for Marketing & Public Affairs at the Lake Nona Regional Chamber of Commerce, where she launched a tourism subcommittee, tripled event revenues, and spearheaded creative initiatives that supported local businesses and contributed to economic recovery during the pandemic.

Beyond communications, Melrose has dedicated herself to pastoral leadership and apostolic mentorship as the Founder of AVODA House, a movement focused on restoring families, deepening faith, and navigating the intersections of ministry, business, and government. She is deeply committed to being a voice for the Holy Spirit and preparing others to pursue their God-given callingCurrently, Melrose is pursuing a B.S. in Government: Politics & Policy at Liberty University, with an expected graduation in 2026. She holds an A.S. in Radiologic Technology from AdventHealth University, is a Certified Human Rights Consultant through the U.S. Institute of Diplomacy and Human Rights, and has completed theological studies through the Timothy and Nehemiah Theological Seminary. Her diverse background spans graphic design, photography, tourism, hospitality, civic engagement, psychology, and advocacy in areas such as domestic abuse and human trafficking, which equip her to lead with both strategy and compassion.

Melrose comes from a legacy of service. Her grandfather served as a Colonel in the military, and her grandmother's career in education instilled in the family the value of teaching. Her mother’s background in accounting and law studies, along with her father’s experience in business administration, reflect a strong foundation in leadership. Continuing this legacy, her brother also served in the U.S. Border Patrol. 

Rooted in a family history of business, education, and public service, Melrose is passionate about supporting and uplifting others. With a deep love for Jesus Christ and a heart for people, she is dedicated to guiding others through intercession, meaningful conversations, and mentorship. She believes in the transformative power of communication to bring clarity and restoration. In her free time, Melrose enjoys the arts, poetry, and travel, constantly seeking opportunities to learn, grow, and encourage those around her.
