Alabaster House Mission Statement & Statement of Faith

Mission Statement

The mission of Alabaster House is to provide spiritual resources to government leaders in our nation’s capital through confidential prayer, biblical devotionals, and friendship.

Most leaders in Washington, D.C. have substantial workloads, coupled with significant time away from family and home.  This creates great strain on their lives emotionally, spiritually, and physically.

Alabaster House is an encouragement to those serving in government.

Statement of Faith

We believe in the Holy Bible, the inspired, inerrant, infallible, and authoritative Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21).  We believe in one God, the triune person of the Godhead; the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus was born of a virgin birth and was the only one to live a sinless life (Matthew 1:18, 2 Corinthians 5:21).  We believe in His miracles.

He died on the cross for mankind, making a way for all to receive him as Lord and Savior.  Through repentance we receive forgiveness of sins and appropriate salvation.  Atonement for our sins was made through the shedding of His blood (Romans 10:9-10, Acts 2:21).

We are saved by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ.  Salvation is a gift from God, not a result of our good works or any human efforts (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Jesus rose from the dead on the third day and ascended to the right hand of the Father and will return again in power and glory (Luke 24:15, Hebrews 1:3, Luke 21:27).
