Ellen Yao
Ellen and her husband, Matt, and their young son live in Fairfax, Va. She received her B.A. from the University of Virginia in Religious Studies and received training at the McIntire School of Commerce. She is currently working on her MDiv from Global Awakening Theological Seminary. Ellen has worked as a Software Trainer in Washington DC for 5 years for various law firms like Patton Boggs and Crowell. She has worked in the IT industry and enjoys learning and working on social media platforms and creating websites.
She and her family attend a church in Oakton, Va. where they serve on the prayer team. Ellen also leads worship at the prayer house on Fridays once a month and hosts weekly Bible studies for moms and women. During 2020, she was able to host and lead worship events that started from her home and continues to host various ministry events. She and her husband serve together in various ministries in the Northern Virginia area in healing and deliverance training. They have recently traveled to college campuses to serve the university students through prayer and training.
Ellen has been working with World Missions Alliance, a missionary organization based out of Branson, Missouri since 2014 and has traveled to various countries serving refugees and ministering to the locals. She currently serves as a missionary prayer minister for WMA.
In her free time, she loves boxing and trains at the UFC gym, she and her family enjoy MMA. She also loves hiking and snorkeling. Her true passion is missions and evangelism; she loves to travel to remote areas to share the love of Jesus.
